Tulloch was raised in Spain, Uruguay and Argentina. Her birthplace and grew up within San Diego California. Tulloch is known as Bitsie rather than Elizabeth is in honor of a World War II fighter pilot known as "Bitsie" and was involved in the Goldsboro B-50, a crash which occurred in 1961. Tulloch was named Bitsie at the time she started to act. It was her name until 2017, when she changed to Elizabeth. When I first meet people I greet them using Bitsie. It worked in the beginning when I started acting, during my early 20s. In my 30s, and I feel as though for reasons of billing I was tempted to return to Elizabeth. It hadn't even occurred to me until I started filming. Producer said "Hey we were able to see Elizabeth as we completed your legal paperwork." Does that sound right? So I was thinking about it. I then called my manager, and both of them agreed that it was a good idea. Yes, you've gained weight. Bitsie has a really cute name. It's adorable. It was the whole thing the words that were spoken. This isn't like introducing myself as Elizabeth now. For future billing. Tulloch is of Scottish as well as Spanish descent. Tulloch declared that her primary language is Spanish, although she does not consider herself proficient in Spanish. Her paternal grandmothers family is located in Renfrewshire and her grandfathers family originated from the area around Kirkwall as well as Scotland. In an exclusive interview with BBC News the reporter stated we were of the opinion that the first Tullochs came into the US between 1880-1890 and that the Kerrs emigrated in the early 1900s. Following her return to the U.S., she went to Bedford New York for middle and secondary school. Tulloch graduated magna cum laude at Harvard University with a double major in English and American Literature and Visual and Environmental Studies.
