Nadia Elena Comaneci

At the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, the athlete was a global sensation by scoring the very first ever perfect ten in world of sports. Additionally, Comaneci was able to score six more perfect tens in order to become one of the youngest Olympic Gold Medalist. Nadia Comaneci was able to draw international attention and help Romania establish itself in the global spotlight. Through achieving a feat which was impossible to achieve the sport's icon helped bring gymnastics into the spotlight of the world's interest. This changed the perception of female athletes.
