Annette Funicello is an American actress and singer. Most famously, she is remembered for being one of the Mickey Mouse Club's original Mouseketeers. In her teens, Annette began to sing and became a household name for the songs 'Tall Paul and Pineapple Princess'. Annette was was raised by Italian immigrants in Utica as a child was a shy person. Annette wanted to pursue the profession of entertainer. She began to dance as well as acting. In the mid-1950s, she played in numerous Disney sketches in the role of one of the "Mouseketeers" which earned her significant popularity. Annette was able to let go of the 'Disney" persona she had developed when she was a kid and took on a variety of adult roles. Her most notable role was in the role of the pioneer of the genre of beach parties. The actress was featured in films such as How to Stuff a Wild Bikini, Pajama Party, and"Beach Party. She also continued to release her music albums occasionally. Annette was diagnosed as having Multiple Sclerosis in the year 1992. Annette passed away from the illness in 2013.
